Left Democratic Alliance of Bangladesh invites the world to unite against US imperialists and their western allies who want to depose the elected Maduro government of Venezuela by staging military coup
Left Democratic Alliance (LDA) organized a demonstration on 3rd May 2019 at 11:30 PM in front of national press club to call forth Bangladeshis and citizens of the world to denounce the western imperialist forces and their internal accomplices that want to depose the elected Maduro government through orchestrating coups. Comrade Bazlur Rashid Firoz, convener of LDA and leader of Socialist Party of Bangladesh (SPB), presided over the assemblage. Comrade Md Shah Alam, General Secretary of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Comrade Saiful Haque, General Secretary of Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh, Comrade Manas Nandi, leader of Socialist Party of Bangladesh (Marxist), Comrade Nazrul Islam, leader of United Communist League of Bangladesh and others outpoured their opinions. Khalequzzaman Lipon, SPB city leader and Dhaka city convener of LDA, led the procession.
The speakers condemned the stance of the United Nations in the Venezuelan crisis, where a democratically elected government is being ridiculed constantly by the demands of a US-backed pretender and the concocted coups staged by them. They identified the deposits of oil in Venezuela and the ensuing envy of US as the root of this entire plight. They expressed their solidarity with the citizens of Venezuela and its rightful government in their fight against the imperialist forces. The overbearing silence kept by the Bangladesh government was also sharply criticized.
